People believe all kinds of crazy things. Bigfoot is one, but mental illness is where they draw the line. That, they can’t fathom. Honestly, I think it’s more because it frightens them to believe that who they are can be compromised.

That last sentence! Indeed.

Folks can't believe the human body "isn't perfect". Even with all the external differences: missing or imperfect or even extra limbs, blind or deaf (and any ranges of those two), to the societal non-acceptance of sexual differences.

The best thing "we've" done is mainstreaming people that have differences. Stop hiding them away - see them for who they are - a human.

People need to accept that they could be any or all, at some point in the future..
