Tied to no certain genre, The Fall were the musical equivalent of a car held together with duct tape. It might get you there, or it might break up and crash on the way. Give it time and This Nation offers up brilliant swipes at modern life on "Barmy," "Gut of the Quantifier" and (on reissue) "Cruiser's Creek."
