servers are so expensive i wish i could just host all my shit at home without it being a security nightmare

max,

@nano i was gonna use cloudflare to make things less bad idk, that plus a super isolated machine doesn't seem like that much of a security concern but also im an imbecile so i have no idea if this is a bad idea. plus cloudflare stinky sometimes

@nano tbh if you're able to keep things up to date it shouldn't be a security nightmare to host at home, but it may be a bandwidth or latency problem compared to datacenter internet, and some home internet providers don't even allow you to use all outgoing ports. I'm happy to explain stuff if you need some examples on how to set up something reasonably secure and easy to update (with containers) though

SuperDicq,

@nano Why is hosting things at home a security nightmare?
