You're walking upriver in a forest filled with vegetation. It rained last night, the dirt is a bit muddy and you can smell the scent of rain and nature. The cold gets to your nose; a bit irritating but if you can take it you can take in the oxygen-rich air.
The first thing you notice in front of you is a wooden stair/ladder that allows you to climb the boulder in front of you. At your right there's a rocky wall filled with moss. At your left, the small river with a tiny waterfall. It's not very deep, but a misstep could result in a sprained or broken ankle; hence, the wooden ladder.
The road you're walking through is human-made; the dirt is leveled and there's a tree log to the left that prevents dirt from falling to the river.
Some meters ahead of you there's a couple of dead trees which join both sides of the river.
@mustachio You're welcome! It's just a description for the visually impaired. I wanted to convey the feelings of walking through that forest as realistically as possible.
