Meetup has been bought and the buyer has a history of predatory business model and prices on its userbase. I'm thinking of moving all @grusp PUGs (PHP user groups) from meetup to a federated application link Gancio or Mobilizon. Dear followers @phpc what's your opinion?

fullo,

@heiglandreas @grusp @phpc Mobilizon Is one of the software I'm testing right now. I think we could federate national instances (Ie. events.grusp.org) or stay together under the umbrella of phpc

@fullo @grusp @phpc While I understand the preference of local/national instances I am a strong proponent of one instance for all. It encourages the exchange between different people of different nations and fosterns the understanding that we are all one community.

But in the end it needs to be filled with life.

@heiglandreas @fullo @grusp @phpc I'm very much inclined to agree with @heiglandreas on this - having it as just one instance might foster connections better between people than having separate instances.
