@popey My first digital camera was also 23 years ago!, mid-2001, so exactly 22.5 years. It was an Olympus C3000Z (3 MPix, 32-96 mm eq.).
I bought it because I was running an #OpenPrinting booth on the LinuxTag for the first time, got lended a bunch of nice photo printers from Epson and also from HP and wanted to be able to demo them.
I also printed a photo taken with it in A1 size (using Mandrake Linux) from this camera for the LinuxTag, view from the Eiffel Tower ...
