@Floppy@garius Just blocked (limited) a few servers that are showing up multiple times now, hopefully that will stop some of the repeat offenders. I'm of the opinion that if a server admin hasn't sorted things out by now then they probably don't have a good grip on their admin.
@garius@CatherineFlick@Floppy I think they've got a few leads on how to stop it, but yeah: if the admin(s) of an infected server don't pull their fingers out, the only solution is to block that server until everything's sorted. And close DMs.
@anarchic_teapot@garius@Floppy Fingers crossed! It seems a few sensible defaults (no open signups) and some internal spam detection might be a good idea
@garius If you have the option, try turning on Preferences/Notifications/Other Notifications Settings/"Block direct messages from people you don't follow", at least temporarily.
