So, Helen isn't very well (throat thing) so is staying at home. I thought "right, OK, might as well get the train" (WKF-YRK return)... and it's replacement bus services on some of the route 😆 but I thought I'd still do the calculations...
Fuel: £12 as I calculate it for the full return journey, under £4 for the Park & Ride.
Rail: £20 plus £2 to/from the station, replacement bus service and delays.
@jess from the Soft South where I live to Perth for a weekend: train twice the cost of the car, only a little faster, someone on it is likely to be spreading the plague, and I don't get to take two huge crates of boardgames with me.
