Bambie not in afternoon dress rehearsal over an EBU incident - apparently something to do with the Israeli commentator. And France interrupted the song to make a stand.

Talking to a few OGAE UK folk who were in the arena for SF2 last night - lots of booing for you-know-who which didn't make it to the final audio it seems, some standing audience turning their backs, lots of "ooh I need the loo", and a couple of audience being escorted out by security.

We're off to the afternoon GF dress rehearsal so it'll be interesting to see how it goes. Hopefully it will be peaceful.

(Protests outside the Arena were peaceful and respectful, anyway.)

Also, the accidental leak of Italy's televote last night has a lot more support for you-know-who in the televote than I'd have thought. Wow. There's of course no 'negative' vote, and boycotting the whole thing means there's less votes elsewhere.

Consequently, now second in the odds to win (but all that usually indicates is where the money's going, thankfully).

A couple of decades ago I got a scrolling LED sign (from Maplin I think but it's not a N00GA or Amplus AM03127 variant). Lost the remote a while back.

Investigation inside: it has a RJ11 serial port on the back. No board markings except for "SHL-ALLCPU". It's 8049-based with a 27128 EPROM (which I haven't disassembled yet). The board doesn't look like a N00GA one. @pndc you had one too I think?

Anyone got any clues how to drive this thing? It seems from email archive I managed it in 2001..

Dayjob's asked me to start clocking in/out so they can reconcile my hours and make sure I'm doing what I'm meant to.

Given I'm only contracted for 37.5h on a 5-day week, I think I'm about to start using it to work out when I can down tools. Which means I'm taking Thursday and Friday off I think!

Works both ways eh...

So, Helen isn't very well (throat thing) so is staying at home. I thought "right, OK, might as well get the train" (WKF-YRK return)... and it's replacement bus services on some of the route 😆 but I thought I'd still do the calculations...

Fuel: £12 as I calculate it for the full return journey, under £4 for the Park & Ride.

Rail: £20 plus £2 to/from the station, replacement bus service and delays.

Still doesn't make sense getting the train 🤷🏼‍♀️

Cannot fathom how expensive a train ticket WKF-YOR is - almost £20 return! I'm sure it was about £12 last time I looked.

For two of us, we might as well drive and go to the P&R (and save money on a cab to get us to Westgate too cos we can't rely on the local bus service).
