@ukuku The controller I am playing with literally today isn't open source, but it connected with my randomly sourced battery and motor. It has the option for input from a bottom bracket sensor. I will be adding one of those once I get the rest of the bike sorted out
@MLE_online I have a couple of working 250W bafang motors and one working battery, but the controller is bad and unavailable now. Been a lot of heartache with this bike. I wish I had your amazing skills!
@DenOfEarth@ukuku@geekmomprojects I haven't built a a controller from scratch, but I am building an e bike using an inexpensive off-the-shelf controller right now
@ukuku@MLE_online@DenOfEarth I'm afraid that I don't do a lot with large motors. The only largish project I ever built was this self- balancing scooter (https://www.geekmomprojects.com/the-halfway-a-self-balancing-scooter/) which used a Sabertooth 2X25A controller. I agree with Emily's advice to match the controller to the current draw of the motor, but don't have much more to offer on the topic.
