There are plenty of great books on creativity, but don't forget the business side. I realize this might be among the obstacles you mention...
With the almost non-existing compensation from streaming services, finding a sustainable business model is increasingly difficult for musicians. I don't have an answer for you on how, but sure hope you find a way. Music as an artform is vital in any civilised society, but the concentration in the music industry is worrying.
