Dang, it's cool Tesla is opening up their superchargers (like Ford announced today) but at this point pretty much none of the ones anywhere near here even support it, even ones built like last year. Hope they announce a retrofit

Tesla supercharger map toggling on and off NACS enabled superchargers which basically eliminates them all for eastern Canada

@christianselig wouldn’t all Superchargers just support the CCS adapter that Ford is distributing?

@christianselig are those all V2 superchargers? I think maybe that canada database hasn't been updated yet? It's weird that's so many, not seeing that down here, pretty much all are open to Ford now around me (except v2)

@monorailtimes No, a bunch of V3 ones don't even support it yet :( There's a few in Canada that have it, you can see one of the few in eastern Canada at the top of the map there

We have a ton of V2 superchargers though, hoping they fix adapt those otherwise it'll be useless in eastern Canada

@christianselig They will be retrofitting — no idea how many will actually get the retrofit before NACS becomes more prevalent than CCS.

Most will come when chargers get upgraded to v4, which includes both the CCS adapter and 350kW charging.

@SamTheGeek Have they announced that publicly? The majority of the ones around here are still V2

@christianselig v2 is explicitly not compatible with CCS adapters — so you’ll be waiting for the new pylons. But with CT accepting higher charge rates, you’ll get the updates soon.

@SamTheGeek I sure hope so

@christianselig Looks to me that anything that's 250KW is able to push NACS (there are several now several year old Maine installs that support NACS). Maybe it's limited to software updates that haven't pushed out to most of Canada yet.

@shanie Maybe, there's a bunch of 250 kW ones here that don't have it enabled yet. But even still the majority of the ones here are V2 superchargers so if they don't adapt those it's going to be pretty useless in eastern Canada
