@nixCraft @isotopp in the late 1990s I had an SQL "select ... where a in (1,2,3)", there was an index on a. Using Informix it was fast. Using Oracle - why does this take so long? Turned out,
"a in <literal>" would just not use the index. Rewrote to generate "a=1 or a=2 or a=3" instead, and it ran... 🤦

@KarlE @nixCraft MySQL had a similar problem for "where a in ( <subs elect>)". This was fixed in 8.0 and is one of the many reasons to upgrade
