Extracted 164,571,837 unique .COM domain names from the ICANN zone file weighing in at 24.85 GB uncompressed (4.36 GB compressed).
I then wrote a quick and dirty Python script to filter the list and remove all domains with numbers, hyphens, and more than 15 characters.
The resulting file has 54,868,231 domain names and is approximately 748 MB in size.
Still unruly, but way more manageable.
