@russellt You're right about bitcoin and other proof of work based currencies, however this is no longer the case for Ethereum, the second largest crypto.
Ethereum upgraded from Proof of Work (energy intensive) to Proof of Stake (collateral intensive) in Sept 2022, so it now uses a negligible amount of energy when compared to #AI, bitcoin, or video games
