We've also set the character limit to 5000, so you can post long thoughts right here -- I don't think Metatext properly supports this though, so you might need to grab a different app; e.g., @Feditext is basically a new version of Metatext that's in testflight/beta right now.
If you do thread with multiple posts, feel free to set the first one as "public" and the rest as "unlisted" so they don't overwhelm the Local feed.
