Apple rep's answer to @rileytestut's CTF question boiled down to (paraphrased): “We want to encourage those sorts of developers; we haven't figured out that solution here. My kids also <make apps> and I don't have €5M either — this is something we need to figure out, and it is something we're working on, so on that one ‘stay tuned’”
@stroughtonsmith love that @rileytestut specifically asked this because an Apple rep couldn’t have answered with “well that’s why the standard App Store terms are so great for small developers who don’t want this risk” because Riley wanted to distribute his apps in the App Store and Apple wouldn’t let him.
