@michaelsteeber I would set up a DBA (doing business as…) as it’s known in the US and give it a PO Box as others suggested. That way you can transfer to what appears to be a company with an address. Doesn’t change liability like an LLC but solves the exposure problem for much cheaper.
@michaelsteeber I’ve wondered particularly with WTF how many people have no other address. Most people I know who need to have some kind of physical location do the PO Box route—is that allowed under the rule for “traders” or does it have to be a fixed physical location?
@glennf I believe I can use a PO Box, I just have no other need for one, so it feels like a silly expense for an app that isn't making that much money.
@michaelsteeber Irritating. I do get the need for an address—not the public part. The CAN-SPAM technically requires this for all commercially sent messages, regardless of whether you earn money; domain name registration, too. There are workarounds for that, but I wonder if so for this. Like, will someone arise with a $20/year physical location service…
