Po odběru vzorku z cíle Mineral King pokračuje Curiosity směrem na jih. Při poslední jízdě v solu ujela během 28 minut vzdálenost 17 m. Jede podél mělké brázdy, která je vyplněná pískem.
It is an amazing island. Beautiful landscape and amazing monuments: Gortys, Faistos, Zakros, Knóssos, Agia Trias, Malia, Lashiti plain, Diktaion Andron. And great Greek food! (Hmm … but I don't like mousaka). :)

Don't know who cooked your mousaka, but if you can, try a home cooked one next time, without potatoes, just eggplant and ground meat (mixed pork and beef) covered with a thin crust of bechamel. I, too, don't like/order the ones served in restaurants. They are not even close to the real thing.

Phaistos and Zakros are my favorites and the peak sanctuaries around the latter, along with Itanos, on the far east coast of Crete.
#KimStanleyRobinson impression, written as thoughts of his Martian heroine Zo (possibly his daughter), surprised me with how it resonated with my own feelings. Of course, there is a significant connection of Mars with Crete 😀
V posledním týdnu Curiosity několikrát udělala vizuální kontrolu vstupů do palubních laboratoří CheMin a SAM. Obvykle to dělá, když se připravuje na odběr vzorku. Takže asi brzy bude další vrtání?
