@whitequark @gsuberland I have a similar pair and they work fairly well, it's just little 5v carbon heating pads in them, just like other heated gear, the batteries are sealed and external, more or less just USB power packs. Heated gear is great.

@whitequark it's probably fine tbh, I'd mostly expect the LiPos to fail pretty quick (non-destructively) because they're usually pretty crap longevity on cheap stuff, but you could always swap the cell out later.
