@Techaltar I do hope the EU will include provisions to make sure the battery have no DRM, so we wont stuck in a "we don’t sell new replacement batteries for devices older than X years" situation.
The next logical step: forcing manufacturers to provide OS updates for way longuer than what we have currently. Cauz even if we can replace ourself the battery, that requirement is almost useless for the average Joe if the OS have no security update, or any software limitation, past 3-4 years.
