I would argue most new (sub)genres were invented by people who were "doing it wrong" (according to the purists/gatekeepers).

It certainly is a great way to increase the musical gene pool...

Also, "doing it wrong" is recommended practice to make proper #BonkWave. And #NotBonkWave.
