I have a bunch of alcoholics in my family. I’ve never shown a propensity for it, but I’m still wary of it.
So I’ve avoided alcohol, especially at home, since I started care giving full time. Life is too depressing and stressful that I’m afraid that I’d lean on alcohol for an escape. Which wouldn’t be good given the fact that I’m the only thing keeping us going.
Recently I’ve been drinking Guiness’s nonalcoholic beer with some meals and it has been delightful. Beer just enhances meals.
