Bird flu🚨:

"Bird flu may be spreading in cows via milking & herd transport. New data challenge assumed transmission route & some call for restricting cattle movement.

It's spreading through dairy cattle in the US may be expanding its reach via milking EQP the ppl doing the milking, or both.

The avian virus may not be spreading directly from cows breathing on cows, as some researchers have speculated-."

⬆️Re: Bird flu article:

Biorisk consultant, Conor Browne, noted that the article was generally good, but he emphasized that bird flu viruses in the past have also spread for many kilometers in the wind, moving from one poultry farm to another'.
Airborne transmission of certain pathogens is not a contentious idea.

@KimPerales I'm honestly skeptical of any media claim that flu might be less airborne than previously thought. While probably true it spreads through milk, claims about it not spreading as much through breath are just laying the groundwork for inaction and minimization.

@PacificNic Thanks, I just added some information on bird flu transmission being generally airborne.
