I just remembered that Chicken Wiggle for 3DS has a whole bunch of user-created levels, and I'm not 100% confident anyone else would have preserved them yet given that it's an obscure game.
Chances are the game probably relies on the developers' own servers instead of Nintendo's since there's a game-specific online ID, but I also wouldn't assume those are going to be around forever either.
I guess if I want to help with this I'll have to attempt to reverse engineer how levels are downloaded, and packet sniffing stuff is not something I have any experience with.
I managed to get a proper dump of me browsing through the different level categories and downloading levels. It accesses a custom HTTP API that I now know the URLs and paths for, but it seems to encrypt the data going in and out of the endpoint, so I might not be able to do much more without reverse engineering the game itself (which would be beyond what I can do).
There are some cute messages like "Hmm. What are you doing here?" and "have fun but just please remember, i can't code games if i'm busy cleaning up a mess. thanks." in the API.
This does tell me that the levels are stored on servers owned by Atooi and not Nintendo, so they should last beyond the 3DS/Wii U online shutdown, but I still want to back them up if possible.
