I sometimes hear people say, they do not believe Russia is losing up to 1000 soldiers per day. I believe it, for I have seen hundreds of videos about how to uneducated soldiers of Russia fight.
In a recent video from the Ukrainian 47th Mechanized Brigade, a squad of Russian soldiers have been ordered to advance. But because of the dangers of mines, in all their wisdom they ride on top of their their armored vehicle over completely flat terrain, allowing Ukraine to see them from a mile away.

And the Ukrainian forces simply wait, until the enemy vehicle is well within firing range. They then drop an artillery shell directly on top of the vehicle, wounding most of the squad. And untrained as the Russians are, they then get off the vehicle and stand up next to it, allowing Ukraine to take out the entire crew with a stationary machine gun.
This is what happens, when Russians are taken directly from the factory line and sent to fight.
@randahl wait, but you understand that with 140 million (half crazed and half meek) population russia can send as many of those suicide squads as necessary until a) it has accumulated enough well trained and well equipped troops for a real push, and b) ukrainians run out of shells, right? right? :-/
@tivasyk@randahl I find it hard to believe Russian troops are not well-trained. I thought dedovshchina was supposed to be the most intense training experience available anywhere.
