We have the 5th and final uograde being tested in beta as we speak. So they shoukd be rolling out on production literally any day now.

@LouisIngenthron it may be a euphemis but it is the language you use. "I put out a fly trap to catch flys" i cant imagine anyone thinking this means anything other than an undesirable insect.

I suspect i might have Multiple Schlorosis in its very early stages. Among other minor symptoms the most telling is my tendency to get muscle twitches that are rhythemic in very odd muscle groups. When this happens it sticks to a particular muscle group in a reptative way for weeks or months.

Here is a video of my chin twitching as an example.

@icedquinn i have always had potassium and magnesium problems. Thry are well supplemented though there may be an underlying issue.

Keep in mind though twitching a d cramps are very different.

ActivityPub software should also have a Visibility option for Following (People that you follow) like in Instagram instead of just Follower. Sometimes we just want to share to the trusted inner circle that we have instead to all the followers

@sandycorzeta it is standard in activity pub. Its just that moat servers dont give you the option because a bunch of trolls make threats to any server that implements it.

Everyone in Alaska has enjoyed a Universal Basic Income for over 40 years for just breathing in Alaska. Has it harmed them? No. Employment increased. Inflation slowed. Poverty went down. Obesity went down. Child abuse went down.

They basically used Thomas Paine's argument.

Strictly speaking it isnt a UBI but in practice it is similar.

Data scie tist here. None of those things have any reason to suspect they are connected to the fund. In fact studies trying to show some overall benefit have been quite weak to come up with any. IMO the harm, while hard to quantify, significantly outweighs the good, that thats another matter.

I can see why people are afraid of Trump getting elected again (he's a narcissistic psychopath) but USA has looked like a fascist police state for a while now.

You just need to look at how the police shut down black lives matter demonstrations and anti war protests for starters, let alone the military support for apartheid genocide

Yes all thats correct. In most states they need support to get on the ballots. So its by registering to be a third party supporter that you get them on the ballot, which is very doable

Today is the anniversary of the Kent State shootings, or more appropriately the "May 4th Massacre". In the wake of recent events and our consideration of gun control laws I think this day deserves a great deal of reflection. Four Americans were murdered, and nine more wounded, by our own national guard simply for participating in an anti-war demonstration. If we want to consider limiting access to guns on american soil lets start with our own national guard and police, not our citizens. The last thing I want to see is an unarmed populace needing to deal with a well-armed police and military force. Lets focus on securing the rights of the citizen, not giving them up

For starters the issue isnt with police being heavily armed it is with them not being held accountable then they use it. Them like thr citizens can and shouod be as heavily armed as they wish as long as they are responsible and accountable to their actions.

Second, the disparity in armament seems to occur in coubtries with strict gun laws to a greater extent not lesser. I the usa for example police and citizens are fairly equally armed, in the UK however certain police are allowed to be armed while the citizenry in general more or less cant be, showing a greater, not lesser, disparity.
