Another day, another 970 Russian soldiers eliminated. By this rate, the 500,000th soldier will fall before June.

That's half a million able-bodied men who could have worked real, productive jobs in Russia, but are now removed from the workforce for good.

Once Putin has lost this war, who will finance the Russian pensions? Who will finance the hospitals, the eldercare, the schools through decades of sanctions?

If Russians are to escape a future in endless poverty, this war must be stopped.

Another day, another 1160 Russian soldiers eliminated, along with their 37 artillery pieces and 25 tanks.

Russia is said to be sending 125 tanks to Ukraine every month, so on the surface it looks like Russia is keeping up.

But in reality, 108 tanks are refurbished old soviet tanks from stock, while only 17 are new tanks. So the old stocks are disappearing, with the least rusty equipment going out the door first. And the longer this goes on, the harder it will be for Russia to deliver.

Their donations to Ukraine are truly impressive. The Czechs have spent 0.7 percent of their GDP on helping Ukraine, which is huge compared to the United States (0.3 percent), but they have also sent some awesome hardware, including:

— 185 tanks
— 106 infantry fighting vehicles
— 50 self-propelled artillery pieces
— 115 self-propelled AA guns
— 4 helicopters

France is in the process of deploying its first 1,500 combat soldiers to Ukraine, writes Stephen Bryan for Asian Times.

The first 100 soldiers have arrived in Sloviansk.

For decades, we have been placing solar panels at a low angle, facing south. But new experiments show, vertical solar panels give better yields. This is because these panels generate energy from light on both sides of the panel. And as they are placed with one side east, the other side west, they harvest a lot of sunlight on the east side in the morning, and on the west side in the evening.
