I just finally upgraded my M1 laptop to Sonoma, figuring all the bugs would be worked out and fixed by now... but nope! It just randomly broke some symlinks in my git repository in a weird way. The link seemed to work just fine when I opened the file manually, but docker claimed it couldn't find the target of the link. Can't wait to slowly find more instances of this! 🫠

Found the solution to this btw https://stackoverflow.com/questions/66821257/what-are-docker-copys-rules-about-symlinks-how-can-i-preserve-symlinks

COPY . . copies file by file, whereas COPY ./ ./ will copy whole directories at once. I’m grateful to have found an easy solution, but there still something ofd happening with symlinks in Sonoma since I didn’t run into this issue before the upgrade and there are a few bug reports with the same issue: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255314103 https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255320737
