I'm very hyped to have the option to turn off my computer when I'm not using it. Due to some really flaky behaviour of this laptop, I can't reboot it without a mandatory 5-10 additional minutes of fiddling with cables and additional cold boots, so I just don't do it.
@annika They're the only parcel service where I experienced the delivery person lying about me not being home two or three days in a row, and then having the package returned to sender.
I thought the RAM was fine as long as I didn't use the fancy RAM settings that unlock its full speed, but no, it's crap. Or maybe this indicates something else is crap, but I assume I start by replacing the RAM. (Feel free to recommend other things.)
@annika try reseating the RAM. check for BIOS updates and apply and retest. If that doesn't do it, time for new RAM. Make sure it matches whatever speed and timing settings for your main board.
brew some coffee and/or tea. Have some snacks. Try yoga. Seek inner peace...
Neither stick fails in isolation but I have boot problems with both inserted. (They are in the correct slots when 2/4 slots are filled.) Going to run single stick for a while and see how I get on.
