Book lovers, there is a HUGE indie book sale set for this coming weekend! So yeah, I’ll be shouting about that, to give you all your chance to get amazing indie books for cheap.

@ClH2OArs Me too! She puts so much work into it, it’s really an incredible event every time. It’s also great to see all the books I’m familiar with and wish the other authors success with the sale.
@ClH2OArs That’s gotta be some mixed feelings, with a final push (for a while) for the first book of your complete series, and yet I bet it’s excited to look toward pushing the new one, too! Is it much different in feel?
@skaeth oh yeah! The new ones are small novellas following a tiny party as they travel the world in a sentient Wagon. They're built like an episodic JRPG instead of being one big chunk of city politics, and they're full of board games.
Very specifically needed a break and a different space. 😅
But I'll be back to my first world eventually, so the goodbye isn't too sad. :)
@ClH2OArs Mine is also a break book! I was working on book three of my epic and one of the side-characters went all cardboard on me so I thought I'd write a short story from her perspective to nail her voice and it turned into a 134k prequel, lol.
So instead of an epic against isolationism, it's a wilderness adventure romance with a MC with anxiety and great support from her brother, his boyfriend, and her love-interest.
Never thought I'd write a romance but hey, I guess I'm branching out lol

Oh my gosh a sentient Wagon?! That's a cool idea! And small novellas are probably a nice break--I find them easier to write than my epics. It sounds kind of LitRPG-adjacent, is that right?
I definitely need to pick these up-- how many are there?
And yay for returning to the first world after a break! At least it's not a permanent goodbye.
@skaeth they don't have any obvious game mechanics, but they definitely also stem from my love of JRPGs and TTRPGs, so yeah, probably a lot of overlap with the genre!
I have one novella out and two on preorders (May 9 and September 9), and drafts for 9 of them 😀 they've been great fun
@skaeth on average! There is definitely three a year, but the schedule isn't always quite 4 months all the time because I'm trying to squeeze in a novel in June next year 😅
@skaeth it's a follow up to BAKER THIEF, in which a powerful witch and a scientist work together to free the souls trapped in gems. Big friendship story.
@ClH2OArs I love worldbuilding too. It’s one of my favorite aspects of writing. My stuff all shares a world, but I like to dive deep into here or there. It’s so fun to take something only in my brain and make it seem real.
