bremner, 1 month ago @juliank How about an automatic pager, is that still in the works?

juliank, 1 month ago @bremner I'm not sure it's been in the works or where it would fit in. For the lists before the prompt? I guess we'd need to um buffer them and see if we exceed the line count of the terminal?

bremner, 1 month ago @juliank Well, I'm just bored of apt complaining when I pipe it to less. This is never a problem for you?

juliank, 1 month ago @bremner I ugh versioned the output format now so that should hopefully be good enough to not require the warning anymore. The question I see about paging here in this screen is that there's a prompt that may need your input. For list / show etc I'm fine launching a pager ourselves is stdout is a tty (and stderr I guess, so we pipe both into it?) Because we can always launch a pager for them and if there's no paging to do it just isn't noticeable

sageofredondo, 1 month ago @juliank cool! Always felt Apt needs more work. LTT isn't the only who had the apt uninstall his desktop on him. 🙂
