A guy on Threads is arguing that United States v Microsoft was about Microsoft offering IE exclusively to Windows users, and that the settlement involved Microsoft having to ship IE for Mac.
IE for Mac debuted in 1996. The lawsuit was settled in 2001. IE for Mac was actually discontinued just two years after the settlement.
The guy is adamant that IE for Mac was how they resolved the suit.
