@pyperkub Indeed - he made it very clear that he was looking to upgrade his salary by going over to the right-wing grievance-monger side and wasn't going to let little things like journalistic integrity hold him back.
@acdha I agree with Inskeep that NPR goes above and beyond to air conservative voices. Often with nonsense beliefs and bad faith arguments. It's not NPR's fault that Hunter Biden's laptop was a nothing burger.
@sgillies you can see that also with Uri’s adoption of Weiss’ preferred framing around the lab leak claims. He words it as if it was the possibility of an accidental leak (which has no evidence but hasn’t been ruled out) but doesn’t mention that they were all mad because their theory that it was genetically engineered by the Chinese government wasn’t getting taken seriously because it was incompatible with the evidence. Very telling about his motives.
@acdha I think I just heard on the radio that he's free to go on "Woke is killing NPR" tour full-time now. Can't wait to hear the views he's been forced to keep inside for so long 🙄
