@pluralistic A thread like this is an opportunity to reflect. I work for a nonprofit and when the pandemic hit, we went fully remote and never came back. My staff now can stay home and take care of their kids while putting in the effort they can (balancing that overhead thing you talked about). Feels good. Thanks for the brilliant thoughts, will definitely pick up The Bezzle soon and in the meantime am adding "eminently guillotineable" to my list of phrases.
