@pfefferle Looks great! I was able to hit the translate button in my app and read it in my mentions! 😁

I think part of what I am proposing is not just a fallback mechanism, but a way for publishers to decide what their content looks like for different kinds of platforms. I don’t really have a word to describe what that is yet.

But yeah, Mastodon could handle this a lot better, if they wanted to.

@deadsuperhero I think I know what you mean, but isn't that against the idea of ActivityPub? Shouldn't there be a general default instead of special "implementations" for specific platforms??
