I’m especially bummed because I can’t access my faithful app, Pocket Money, which I use to keep track of day to day expenditure. It’s so frustrating. It worked perfectly last weekend and now?
@andycarolan I love the feel of it in my hand. I admit I use it mostly to play music. It has a huge catalogue on it. And it's still going strong, well, that is, till this morning.
@alexandra I 'think’ that there are unofficial patches that allow newer iOS versions than are officially supported. I've never tried those myself though.
There's a note about an update to the app and incompatibility with older versions / iOS versions. That an issue? (The new version is still supported in the AppStore.) Contact to developer? Possibly restore from backup?

@kiwi2002 Oh, all good suggestions and advice. I never thought about powering down. And as it’s an older iphone 4 it hasn’t updated in years. But I’ll see about restoring from backup.
I am sending this from a iPhone, so I’m not an Apple hater. But the way they make their devices “obsolete” (disposable) is one of the reasons I likely won’t be buying an Apple computer any time soon.
If you expect a device to last more than 5 years, don’t buy Apple. Their environmental claims are pure fantasy in my opinion.
