I want every UI change in Windows passed through a very specific testing focus group. High school seniors.

Not just any high school seniors, but high school seniors studying the thing that Windows UI is supposed to control. So networking students for interface config and firewalls, communications students for word, business students and math students for Excel, etc.

I'm not expecting your interface to work for every lay person out there. But if you can't pass the "dedicated young person who is studying this field specifically but hasn't used your particular UI yet" test, you're probably fucking up.

... All this to say I want the guy who designed the static IP user interface in Windows 10 to spend the rest of his life using computer forms with the same level of feedback for invalid input that he thought was appropriate for his interface.
