#HorizonForbiddenWest continues to impress the shit out of me. It was snowing, and the snow collected on the surface of a pond. As I walked through the pond, the snow was displaced and left a trail behind me.
This is such an astounding attention to detail. They didn't have to do this, it would have been perfectly acceptable video game behavior if it ignored me.
@twipped Honestly, that was my problem with ZD--it felt over-polished. All of the bright and sparky bits of plot that make media exciting had been sanded down.
FW had some burrs in its plot, random by-the-way stuff, and that's what made it better, IMO.
@Impossible_PhD I have one massive complaint about FE. The weapon upgrades are WAY TOO GRINDY. I gave up on it because I got so sick of killing stormbirds, tremortusks and the snake things. I spent like four hours on it yesterday and still didn’t get my legendaries upgraded.
