When was the last time an SNL bit went super viral? The last thing I can recall is David S. Pumpkins.

It seems like in the 90s there was a new catchphrase that everyone was repeating once a season, but these days is there just too much competition for our attention for anything to stick?

@murtaugh I'm listening to The Lonely Island / Seth Meyers podcast and even back then, I think things had more of a shelf life to live and be cultural topics. https://chrisenns.com/2024/04/lonely-island-seth-meyers-snl-podcast/

These days even when a really good episode hits (i.e. Ryan Goslin one a few weeks back) we enjoy it for a week and then move on.
