There is a serious amount of apathy narrative being pushed into this system. I am curious if anyone else is familiar with Cambridge Analytica.

I don't have the details on hand, but there is a documentary "The Great Hack", that discussed this and other social engineering experiences. Making it "cool" or "popular" to be uncaring, allows the right the opportunity to further eradicate your safety systems.
