Fun fact: I can still go to the local branch of the #Bundesbank (sorta like the German Fed) in #Munich and have this coin exchanged to €. I won't, obviously. But I did that a few years ago when I found around 200€ in old D-Mark banknotes.
Some far-right idiots here still want to go back to national currencies. Which is ridiculous, IMHO. I have collected dutch guilders, French francs, German Marks, Italian Lira because they remind me of the chaos we had. I am really happy that we have the Euro.
My new hosting provider is in another EU country. He could give me prices in €. I could send him money for my domain transfers for free with a simple SEPA transfer. Straight from my smartphone. No fscking way I want to go back to the old times :)
