BlakeL,

as suspicious as I am about , they're actually pretty good at what they do. HuggingChat is even open source, and is currently using an open source model (except that it appears to be LLaMA-based, meaning it's not free software).
That's probably one of the biggest commitments to open source I've seen, in a world where this is getting increasingly commercial...

BlakeL,

HuggingChat via OpenAssistant gave me this when I asked for a federated chat packet format (for inspiration, I suppose)

{ "sender": "@johndoe@examplefediverse.net", "receiver": "@janesmith@examplefediverse.net", "message": "<https://examplefediverse.me/messages/@johndoe@examplefediverse.net/_matrix/client-server/*/d+> Hello Jane! How can I assist you today?", "timestamp": "2023-03-14T16:35:00Z" }

I find it funny that it uses both "fediverse" and "matrix"...
