If you're familiar with UCLA -- and the scene of the protests between its original buildings -- you may not know the road leading there from the Hilgard side of campus is actually a bridge. And that the lawns on either side of it are canyons that were filled in. Here's an aerial view from 1929.

The most dramatic happening I ever experienced on campus in the early '90s was...crossing the sculpture garden when some women were doing some sort of performance art on a hammock strung 15 feet up between a few huge trees. I wasn't wearing my glasses, everything slightly blurry, as I neared and got right under them, squinting to figure out what they were doing. At which point, looking straight up beneath them, I realized they were naked. And I looked like the biggest perv who ever lived.
@AdaraAstin Haha, I don’t think I’ve ever been so embarrassed in my life as I realized dozens of people had watched me squinting up through a hammock at this woman’s vulva.
It’s the squinting that made it seem so bad if people didn’t know I was literally trying to figure out what I was even looking at 😂
