Oh, great.
Went to do some laundry at the apartment complex communal laundry building, buuut... the mandatory electronic booking system has run out of storage space, so all it displays is an error page and no times can be booked, so as a consequence the laundry room can not be entered by any tenant.

Was using a pencil and paper really so bad?
Those didn't unexpectedly run out of storage space nor lock us out unless we had written down our booked time first.
Sigh.

@b9AcE

Pencil and paper is too easy for someone to come by and erase. The only viable solution is to encode it on the blockchain.

@scottmatter Well, they can't erase that there would then be two persons attempting to use the same machines in the laundry room, so the paper erasure would probably be discovered and someone would be reprimanded... ;-D

There was also another widely used system of physical keys (same model as door keys) used to lock a cylinder into a slot on a board for each time slot, where each apartment could only use their key to lock their cylinder into place or remove it, but I decided that was too much to describe in my initial toot.

@b9AcE

That key system sounds fascinating!

@scottmatter Here's a picture. https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bokningstavla#/media/Fil:Bokningstavla.jpg One column per day of the month.
In that one they seem to be using dedicated keys. The ones I have used simply used the same physical key as to one's apartment door.

The bottom row is for "parking" one's cylinder while one does not have a time booked.
