@mrcompletely I’m thrilled because I have an archive of a lot of personal effects from that era but no tapes that were mine. I was sad I didn’t have them anymore - I designed the art for them & just wanted one for my collection. So wild that they are finding their way back to me. Super weird coincidence & random chance I’m getting them back.

I just brokered a big collection handoff, a few thousand tapes going from a guy in my circles (old school head, major trader, has become one of the guys that other collectors donate tapes to for digital transfer) to a younger friend. He's a super serious analog media head and his circle of young freaks will each end up with a big box of vintage cassettes which they love and treasure
@lizlovesmusic one of those perfect win/win transactions (my older friend was storing these steamer trunks and moving boxes in his NYC apt) that epitomize head culture - and now these new generation heads all have this direct connection to the original scene without any money changing hands.
