Ginger male cats…friendly roamers? Yes in my experience!

Had one as a pet when I was a kid who regularly roamed the fields near my house, but when we moved, he still made his way back there (about a third of a mile).

Sylvester is a UEA legend with his own FB page (his owners regularly check in to see why he’s not come home for his supper!). He’s mentioned below…

But is it a Viking gene which causes this friendly roaming? I’d like to think so.

Well I’ve only owned one ginger cat (out of a total of three) and I would say he was the most rational out of all of them!

We had a white cat (originally a farm cat from Brisbane, Australia) who roamed a huge territory, spoke in growls and hisses and personally blamed me for the terrible English weather.

Our current cat is a tuxedo cat who refuses to go beyond our postage stamp of a garden and meows loudly to announce she’s going upstairs.
