@Perrin49 I think the novelty wore off fairly quickly because Krispy Kreme had a pretty limited menu so you could try one of everything they had a few times within a couple of weeks. Tim Hortons has so much more variety.

Also there is Quiet Canadian Patriotism to factor in considering loyalty to Tim Hortons.

Of course I can't speak directly to the actual quality of Krispy Kreme asI had to switch to a Coeliac diet before they arrived here. But from what I understand their product lent itself extremely well to being revised with a quick nuke in the microwave so it probably always made more sense to sell them through supermarket bakery departments.
