Which orientation on the new iPads has the Apple "right-side up"?
People have been telling me for years that the primary orientation of the iPad is landscape, but that Apple on the back has always suggested to me that that's just not true.
@nyquildotorg My iPad is like 2 years old, not sure if this counts as new. But, one piece of evidence I offer for portrait mode is that pictures and videos actually look like you are looking into the camera. In landscape the camera is oriented in such a way you look like you are looking away and it's really awkward on video calls (sorry, brain not working, can't remember what video calls are called lol)
@Lucia this new one has the camera on the landscape edge, but the Apple logo oriented to portrait.
If it weren't for the fact that late-90s Mac laptops had the Apple upside-down, I feel like the logo orientation would be incontrovertible proof. But alas...
