interesting that "portable computer with a really good keyboard and a really good battery life" doesn't exist since the two trends went in opposite directions
@jk There was this laptop line from a Chinese OEM that made rounds on YouTube a couple years back. Storage is upgradeable, and the keyboard is an honest-to-god mechanical keyboard with Kailh low-profile switches. The screen is a decent high-res IPS panel, and you can physically remove the webcam.
These retailed for around $400 and did reasonably well in battery life tests because of LPDDR4X memory and low-power CPUs.
